Munirah Abdiwahid is a British-Somali female Taekwondo athlete with eyes firmly set on LA 2028. Hailing from White City, London, her grit, determination, and focus - coupled with strong family and community support is getting her places. I was captivated by this unique amalgamation of circumstances and was instantly drawn to produce a short film to not just showcase Munirah’s journey, but the wider values she represents.


With spoken word by Miss Yankey, this is a film about empowerment, dedication to a cause and a message to the world that everyone has a right to pursue their dreams.
